Whistler Report for May 2011
The month of May was consistent with April with respect to both the Whistler weather and real estate. May's weather was cool with continued snow flurries in the high alpine keeping the snow pack healthy. As a result skiing and boarding were excellent right to the last day (May 30) on Blackcomb Mountain.
Real estate sales were similar to April with the Whistler Listing System reporting a total of 44 firm sales. Chalets - 4 sales (highest $3.6m and lowest $845,000). Unrestricted-use condos - 9 sales. Restricted-use Hotel condos - 6 sales. Townhomes - 16 sales. Vacant Land 2 sales. Shared Ownership - 7 sales.

Real Estate Activity Report for April 2011 - Whistler BC Canada
Springtime Greetings!
Finally there's a hint of Spring in the Valley... a daffodil or two in bloom and a few bears snooping around for fresh skunk cabbage. However the winter snow continues to fall in the alpine. The snow-line was mid-mountain this morning (May 12) with reports of boot deep "pow" up top!
On the Whistler real estate side...
The number of firm sales in April were consistent with March as buyers continue to "pick off" some good buys. The Whistler Listing System (WLS) reported a total of 44 firm sales in Whistler for the month of April. If you would like detailed information on specific property types drop me a note.

February and March 2011 were active months with more buyers making the commitment to purchase properties in Whistler. The Whistler Listing System ( WLS) reported a total of 47 firm sales in Whistler for the month of March. So far this year we have seen the number of sales transactions increasing each month. Buyers are looking for properties that are well priced and offer good value. The number one reason for buying is for "lifestyle".
